Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how to have it deleted.
The short version
- We collect what you choose to send us (forms, emails, purchases) plus the basic technical data every web server logs.
- We use it to reply to you, deliver what you bought, and run the business. We never sell personal data.
- This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies.
- Payments are handled by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
- Email info@digitalwebtonics.com to see, correct, or delete your data.
Who we are
Digitalwebtonics is a software studio based in Nigeria, founded and run by Emmanuel Ezema. We build custom software for clients, run our own SaaS products, and sell plugins and extensions. In this policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean Digitalwebtonics.
We decide how and why the personal data described here is used, which makes us its data controller. You can reach us at info@digitalwebtonics.com or +234 811 886 7019.
What this policy covers
- This website, digitalwebtonics.com, and every form on it.
- Client projects and managed services we deliver, including Lead Recovery.
- Plugins, extensions, and other digital products bought from us, including their license and update checks.
Products that run on their own websites, such as RevBoostNow (revboostnow.com), TonicsTools (tonicstools.com), and Voxitron (voxitron.com), may publish their own privacy notices. Where they do, those notices apply to data collected on those sites.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Project enquiries. Your name, email address, phone number (if you add it), the service you need, your budget range, and your project description.
- Lead Recovery pilot applications. Your name, business name, business type, city, country, mobile number, email address, business phone, whether you use WhatsApp, roughly how many calls you miss each week, how you heard about us, and any notes you add.
- Emails, WhatsApp messages, and calls. Whatever you choose to tell us.
- Purchases. Your name, email address, country, what you bought, the amount, and the payment reference. Your payment provider collects your card or bank details directly; we receive only confirmation of the payment.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our host records your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, the page that referred you, and the time of each request. We use these logs for security and troubleshooting only.
- Your theme choice. If you switch between light and dark mode, your browser remembers it in local storage. That setting stays on your device and is never sent to us.
- Plugin license and update checks. If you install a plugin or extension we sell, it contacts our server to validate your license and check for updates. Each check sends your license key, the address of the site it’s installed on, the product version, and your platform and PHP versions. We use this to deliver updates, apply the site limit of your license, and fix compatibility problems.
Information we handle for our clients
When we deliver a service such as Lead Recovery, we handle data about our client’s own customers, for example the phone numbers of people who called and the messages exchanged with them. We process that data only on our client’s instructions and only to deliver the service. The client decides how it is used and is responsible for telling their customers about it.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare proposals.
- To set up and deliver the services and products you buy, including support, updates, and license management.
- To take payments, issue receipts and refunds, and keep tax and accounting records.
- To keep our website and systems secure, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
- To send you messages about something you bought or asked for. We send marketing emails only if you opt in, and every one includes an unsubscribe link.
Where the law requires a legal basis for using personal data, we rely on one of these: performing a contract with you (or steps you asked for before one), our legitimate interest in running and securing the business, a legal obligation such as tax law, or your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Cookies and advertising
This website doesn’t set advertising or analytics cookies and doesn’t use tracking pixels.
We may advertise on platforms such as Google. If you click one of our ads, that platform may record the click under its own privacy policy. If we add analytics or conversion tracking to this site in future, we’ll update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before anything loads.
International transfers
We’re based in Nigeria, and some of our providers store data in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. When personal data moves between countries, we rely on our providers’ contractual safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to keep it protected to the standard the law requires.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t become a project: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client, purchase, and billing records: for the length of the project, license, or subscription, plus six years for tax and accounting purposes.
- License and update logs: while the license is active, plus 12 months.
- Lead Recovery data about our clients’ customers: while the client’s service runs, then deleted within 30 days of cancellation unless the client asks us to return it.
- Server logs: for the short period our host keeps them, after which they are deleted automatically.
How we protect it
Every page on this site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to personal data is limited to the people who need it to do their work, and we choose providers with strong security practices. No system is perfectly secure, so if a breach ever affects your data, we’ll tell you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct anything that’s wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your data, unless the law requires us to keep it (tax records, for example).
- Restrict or object to how we use it, including for marketing.
- Send your data to you or to another provider in a portable format.
- Withdraw any consent you gave earlier.
These rights come from laws including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, the EU and UK GDPR, and the Australian Privacy Act 1988. To use any of them, email info@digitalwebtonics.com. We’ll confirm your identity and respond within 30 days.
If you’re unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority: the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) in Nigeria, or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in Australia, for example.
If you received a message from one of our clients through Lead Recovery, contact that business first. We’ll help them respond to you.
Children
Our website and services are for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we’ll delete them.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change significantly affects how we use data you’ve already given us, we’ll tell you by email or with a notice on this site before it takes effect.
